Here at HealthForce, we get a lot of questions! We have customers, calling, emailing, facebooking and tweeting us questions 24/7. And that is great! We love our customers and know that they are a health-conscious, very detail-oriented group of people by nature. In an effort to provide answers to a wider audience, we are dedicating more of our time to getting these answers “on paper” for you. When we get a question we know many other people are also wondering, we’ll be sharing them here more often with you.
Here’s one that was asked via Facebook and it’s one we’ve been ask many times. For all of you wondering about HealthForce & kids, here’s a great explanation from Ty, our National Sales Manager, a long-time user of HealthForce products, and a parent of two beautiful, healthy daughters.
All HealthForce superfoods are safe and nutritionally beneficial to children. These products are all 100% food. It is a more complex discussion when we get into the other products on the line that contain herbal extracts (Antioxidant Extreme™, Liver Rescue™, CircuForce™, SCRAM™, Intestinal Movement Formula™, etc). Anything with a HealthForce SuperFoods label fits into the category of “Safe and Beneficial” for children. Products labeled HealthForce Detox, HealthForce Nutritionals, and Warrior Force require case-by-case analysis, and we would generally tell someone to consult a health care practitioner regarding these products. We’ve had several reports from people who have successfully treated children with a product like SCRAM™, but there are so many variables subject to the child’s age and condition, so we have to advise that you consult a health care practitioner.
That said, for the question of “how soon can my son start using HealthForce Superfoods,” we have to first clarify the distinction between our SuperFoods, and our products containing herbal extracts. As long as it’s clear that we’re talking about SuperFoods, then my response is this:
HealthForce superfoods can be introduced to children’s diets at about 1 year of age. As a general rule, they are ready for superfoods as soon as they are eating other foods (fruits, vegetables, etc). We gave both of our daughters Spiruilna as one of their first foods around 9 months of age. They had an all-breast milk diet up until then. We introduced Spiruilna first, because it’s so simple – just one food. In the very early stages of introducing any foods to their diets, it’s best to go slow at first, rather than introducing 30 new foods at one time. Spirulina, Chlorella, Elixir of the Lake™, and Warrior Food™ (Natural) are all very simple, great to start out with. For more complex formulas like Vitamineral Green™ and Vitamineral Earth™, I suggest waiting until the child is eating a variety of foods in the diet.
